After spending hours bent over your computer, do you feel tight and tense? You have company. Sitting for long periods of time can negatively impact your posture, causing backaches, stiff necks, and headaches. But fear not, professionals are in a rush! Here's a quick 5-minute desk yoga exercise to relieve tension and increase energy that you can practice at your desk.

The Streches

1. Neck Rolls: Gently turn your head in a circle, moving your chin to your chest in the forward direction at first, then backward. In each direction, repeat five times.

2. Shoulder Rolls: Make little circles with your shoulders first forward and then backward. Move the shoulder blades freely in your body. In each direction, repeat five times.

3. Seated Cat-Cow: Place your feet flat on the ground and sit on the edge of your chair. Lift your chest, arch your back, and raise your gaze to the ceiling as you take a breath. Breathe out, round your back, tuck your chin in, and soften your look downward. Five times over, repeat

4. Side Bends: Raise your right arm overhead and towards the ceiling. Gently bend your torso to the left, supporting yourself with your left hand on the armrest. You should feel a stretch along your right side. Hold for 5 breaths, then repeat on the opposite side.

5. Seated Twist: Sit with your feet flat on the floor. Twist your torso to the right and rest your left hand on your right knee for support. Look over your right shoulder. Hold for 5 breaths, then repeat on the opposite side. Bonus Stretch: Wrist Circles
